My name is Lauren Hooten and I serve as the point of contact for military-connected students and their families here at Lampasas High School. I work closely with our registrar when enrolling military-connected students to make sure each is identified, properly coded, and receives support and services as needed.  I coordinate the administration of the ASVAB twice a year for our students who are potentially interested in joining the armed forces.  I bring recruiters in from all different branches to build relationships and get to know our students, as well as support them in their future endeavors. 

During the fall semester each school year, LHS staff receives training with military related professional development, to ensure we understand the complexity of our military-connected students, their families, and the implications of military service.
