Medical Absence
In order for an absence to qualify as medical, the student must be in class for at least 15 minutes or return to a class for at least 15 minutes on the same day of the doctor's appointment.  The appointment must be supported by documentation such as a note from the health care professional.  Each medical absence must be verified by a note for each day.

Tardies
Lampasas High School begin promptly at 7:50 a.m. and dismiss at 3:23 p.m.  If a student arrives at school after 7:50 a.m. the student must sign in at the attendance office.  If a student is late to class within the first ten (10) minutes of the class, the student is marked tardy.  However, if a student arrives after ten (10) minutes, they are considered absent for that period only.
